THE NEW NORMAL

Hey Everyone! It is Ken here with another Ken's Kreation. Well I am proud to say that I have been with my partner just shy of 15 years and that is something I am pretty dang proud of. In preparation of our big anniversary I wanted to make a layout and this was the perfect time to use the From This Moment Wedding Set from PPBN designs. This set has all of the wedding party included with the layout. From the Bride and Groom to the ring bearer and flower girl. You can see a picture of the whole set below. Well I took this set and used 2 grooms since this is "My Normal". Here is how it turned out:

I used my Cricut Explore Cutting System to cut all the pieces from the PPBN set. With all of the scrapbook sets from PPBN designs it is important to keep the items grouped together when you size them. In Cricut design space you want to make the entire group sized at 68.7 Width and 35.32 High. This was have all the pieces sized just perfect. I wanted to make the sentiment "The New Normal" in reference to all of the states legalizing gay marriage and it becoming the "new normal". I used my Silhouette Cameo for the sentiment and it is sized at 6.5 inches and i used the offset tool to make the background.

For the two grooms I used Pearl Stickers for the buttons on their suits. For their shoes I used Black Enamel Accents.

For the sentiment I used Pearl Stickers for the center of the flowers and then behind the sentiment i took some Sew Easy Bakers Twine and wrapped it around a strip of coordinating paper.

I finished the page of with the husbands rings using REAL diamond (Yeah I wish). I used Adhesive Diamonds to give the rings some sparkles.

I just loved how this scrapbook page turned out and it will be great to add our picture from our 15 year anniversary!! Here is a list of all the supplies I used and the links to follow to purchase them:

COOKIE MONSTER JAR

Hey Everyone! It is time for another Kreation by Ken's Kreations.

So yesterday I show you on my blog the Girl Scout Frame. Well once you have all of those cookies form those cute little girls, you will need a place to store them. This leads me to today's project:

For this project I found the cookie jar at Michael's. It was part of their Ashland collection and they were having a 60% off sale as of today's date post. You can also find this cookie jar at this LINK. I used the PPBN COOKIE FILE. This is a kit for a scrapbook, however I just used the elements I needed for this project. I imported this file into my Silhouette Studio Software. Then using the basic ARIAL font, I used the text feature in my Silhouette Studio Software to create the words "More" and "Please". I sized the COOKIE FILE to my desired size for the cookie jar. I utilized the chalk oval space as the back of the cookie jar to instruct "mom or dad" to refill the jar. Using the print and cut features, I printed this onto the SQUARE1 inkjet printable media 8.5" x 11". This is a printable adhesive backed media that allows you to print your designs on superior quality media. Once the design was printed and cut on my Silhouette Cameo, I arranged the designs onto the jar. Taking Ranger Stickles 1/2-Ounce Glitter Glue, Cinnamon, I randomly selecting chocolate chips to sparkle. I finished the project with a coordinating Royal Blue with White Dots Grosgrain Ribbon Polka Dot 1-1/2 inch 50 Yards and added a simple ribbon to the top of the stainless steel lid.

Snow Queen Wall Deco - Designed By Ken's Kreations

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations!!

Here Is This Week's PPBN Designs Project!!

Check Out How I Made This Project Here:

This week's project I got to try out two new things! A wonderful new set from PPBN Designs and a new material called Square 1 Printable Fabric

Well I think the Frozen Phenomenon is upon us and let me just say I am party of this frozen blizzard! I love everything about this movie. I LOVE the store, songs, characters and the endless quotes. One of my favorite characters is Olaf. This cute little snowman is the heart of the movie and I adore him. One of the best quotes that warms my heart is when he says:

"Some People Are Worth Melting For!"

Well as soon as I knew I was going to be a designer for PPBN Designs, I knew I wanted to work with the Snow Queen Set. I only used the happy little snowman from this set. However the rest of the set is amazing.

Also in this project I use for the first time Square 1 Printable FabricThis is an AMAZING product. Square1 Masterpiece is a PVC- free adhesive backed fabric that is a safe alternative to vinyl.  Square1 is more flexible and easier to use than vinyl ever could be. Plus....did I tell you...IT IS PRINTABLE!!!! Olaf is done in this amazing product! Check out the video below to see this amazing product in action!
