FRANKEN-OWL CARD

Hey Everyone!! Ken here with Ken's Kreations. Well Halloween is right around the corner and I am so excited. To get us kicked off in the right direction I wanted to post a card I made using an adorable design from PPBN DESIGNS.

So for this card I used my SILHOUETTE CAMEO for the Print Then Cut. I printed out all my digital papers using my amazing EPSON ARTISAN 1430 which I love....just like at the paper in this card. It was all printed out on this printer using the WITCHY DIGITAL PAPERS. I love the quality of this printer!!! Once I had all of my paper printed and ready to go I was able to turn my attention to the SVG files.

For this card I used the FRANKEN-OWL from PPBN designs, the ECHO PARK BANNER and this A2 CARD BASE. I used the SILHOUETTE CAMEO Print Then Cut feature for the FRANKEN-OWL and ECHO PARK BANNER. I was then able to turn to inking my edges. For the ink I used both CTMH BLACK INK and GREEN MEMENTO INK. The CTMH BLACK INK I used on the white edges and the GREEN MEMENTO INK I used on the black edges. I took some GREEN WASHI TAPE that came with my tape dispenser and lined the black strip behind the ECHO PARK BANNER. I raised up the circle with the owl on it and the ECHO PARK BANNER using 3D FOAM CIRCLES. On the FRANKEN-OWL I took some ORANGE PEEL STICKLES and used it on his beak and for his "bolts" I used my favorite new medium SILVER VIVA DECOR. I raised the owl up using an ACTION WOBBLER. On the moon I used some CTMH LIQUID GLASS to give it that glare of the moon.

I hope you enjoyed today's Kreation. Come back soon to see what other Kreations I come up with next!

Fall/Christmas sign

Hello again it is another Monday here at PPbN Designs and I have a Fall/Christmas sign for you. I live in a small house so whenever I can have a decoration that will work well with more than one season it is great. I bought this chalk board sign at Wal-Mart for about $2.00 and decorated it with ribbon and Square 1 adhesive fabric. This stuff can be printed on with your regular printer and either hand cut or a print n cut. I used my Cameo to print n cut but now you can also do that on your Explore.

I used one side for the Fall and the other for Christmas. These are the files I used Fabulous Fall and Merry Christmas. On the Fall title I added Welcome with a font on my computer and placed it where I wanted it, removed the white background and made a new one with the offset option. I changed the colors by using the fill button and choosing which objects I wanted to change. I changed the Merry Christmas colors slightly so they would match my ribbon. Hope you enjoyed my sign and thank you for visiting.

Halloween Candles

Good morning it is Monday again and I am still doing Halloween decorations for my home. I decided to show you two different candles done with the same file one layered and the other printed.
For the first candle I printed on tissue paper the PNG image from the file Scary Haunted House. I taped the tissue paper onto a piece of regular typing paper and printed. After I had the image I cut away the extra tissue paper and wrapped the design around a regular wax candle. I used a hair dryer to heat the tissue paper and candle until the tissue just soaked up the wax and became part of the candle. I added a bow and that candle was finished. The second candle is a flameless candle from Wal-Mart so for this one I used vinyl. I sized the images down a bit to fit my candle and cut only the black layer for the house and tree. I transferred them to the candle with transfer tape. I decided to use the Harvest Moon for this one because I love the bats. I layered my moon and bats and placed them on my candle. So easy and quick.

Trick or Treat Bucket

Trick or Treat Bucket

Good morning everyone. I have started getting my decorations ready for Halloween. This is a bucket from Dollar Tree that I used vinyl to decorate and the Trick or Treat file from PPbN Designs. The colors I used are Purple, Yellow, Orange, Lime Green, Black, White and Light Pink. Everything was cut at the size it appeared on the mat except for the spider that I shrunk and only used the bottom layer and cut the eyes and mouth from the top layer. I ties ribbons to the handles and I was finished.

Hey You Made Me Ink

Hey Everyone! Ken here with Ken's Kreations and I am here with another Kreation for you! I was so excited to see that PPBN DESIGNS released a collection of images based on Finding Nemo and as soon as I saw she released an image based on Pearl I knew exactly the card I wanted to do.

One of my favorite quotes in this movie is when pearl says to her school friends..."Hey you guys make me ink!!!" So i had to made a card based on this quote. So all of the supplies you need for this card can be found by clicking the links during the post or at the end of the post. Just remember any time you click a link and buy something form that link you support Ken's Kreations and for that I thank you!! So lets get going on this card which I used my CRICUT EXPLORE.

Before I could start on the project I wanted to find the perfect paper, sadly I did not have anything. However I have a 12 X 12 Printer, THE EPSON ARTISAN 1430. I love having the option to find digital paper to match my project perfectly. For this project i was able to find the perfect digital paper. This NEMO INSPIRED DIGITAL PAPER was perfect for this project.

So I started with the card base which can be found on CRICUT ART PHILOSOPHY CARTRIDGE. It is just the basic card option. I love the card bases on they cartridge because they are rounded corners and easy to work with. I knew the next layer I needed to incoporate pearl "inking" somehow. I was lucky to find a wave frame on CRICUT ARTBOOKING FRAME which when placed right under pearl looked exactly like her "inking" herself. I used BLACK CTMH INK and SLATE CTMH INK with my INK DAUBERS and.... PERFECT!!!! The next layer was PEARL and I used PPBN DESIGNS BABY SQUID SVG for this file. I layered Pearl up and then on the top layer I wanted to give the illusion that Pearl was "under the sea" and glistening under the water. I turned to one of my favorite tools, TWINKLING H20'S. I know it is hard to tell in this picture, but she is BEAUTiful and is just shinning!!! On her three bubbles I used WATERFALL STICKLES to to give them that shine. I moved on next to the sentiment to finish off the card with my favorite movie quote!!! Now with the CRICUT ART PHILOSOPHY CARTRIDGE comes three sets of Dimensional Shapes, I took one of those and used my CRICUT EXPLORE to write the movie quote onto the shape. You do this by attaching the quote onto your "virtual mat" and than position the shape at the exact point on the mat. That is it. I used my CRICUT PEN SET to write the movie quote. I made sure the cut feature was turned off since this was not an option I needed. To finished off the quote I took ORANGE STRIPPED TWINE and tied a bow. I raised Pearl, The sentiment and the bubbles up with 3D FOAM TAPE.

Thanks for taking a look at today's project! Make sure to take a look soon for my next kreations!!!
